↠ Viva Rodeo Pop-Up ↞

When thinking of Mi Reina’s next pop-up, I knew that it would take place in February. However, I was not sure on the location or theme quit yet.  Being that my hometown is Tucson, Arizona, I knew that I wanted to incorporate La Fiesta de los Vaqueros. I am excited to announce that Mi Reina Mobile Boutique will be partnering with Viva Performing Arts Center to host a VIVA RODEO POP-UP on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

It is an honor to collaborate with Viva Performing Arts Center and Julie Gonzalez-Gallego, Owner and Director of the center. Viva Performing Arts Center is Tucson’s leading south side dance and music studio.  Viva Performing Art Studio is a dance and music school that teaches a variety of dance & music forms, such as: Mexican Folklorico, Ballet Tap & Jazz, Hip-Hop, Zumba and Mariachi.

Julie Gonzalez Gallego founded Ballet Folklorico San Juan in 1987 at Tucson’s own St. John’s Catholic Church. Julie has taught thousands of children the art of Folklorico and the apperciation of Mexican Culture for over two decades. After renting a few buildings on Tucson’s Southside, Julie was able to obtain a building of her own and called it Viva Performing Arts Center. Viva was established for Tucson’s youth to come together and celebrate their hispanic culture and experience the passion of dance. In 2009 Julie was named Business Woman of the Year by Tucson’s Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Under the direction of Julie Gonzalez Gallego students at Viva have performed throughout Arizona, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Denver, New York, Guadalajara, Acapulco and London.

For the past 10 years, the center has hosted the Viva Fiesta Rodeo. To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Viva Performing Arts Center, the center is collaborating with more local vendors, including us and we are honored to co-host this year!   The Viva Rodeo Pop-Up is free and open to the public.  Come out and join us at the Viva Rodeo Pop-Up!
