#worthywomen weekend

As I think about Mi Reina’s debut this month, I want to make sure I ask [ask, ask, ask] plenty of questions and listen to other women entrepreneurs who have gone through similar path(s) that I am on before a fully jump into my venture.

I truly believe in signs and intuition. When I listen to my gut, I feel like I am going in the right direction. While living in Los Angeles, I have attended several workshops and networking mixers. Usually I receive an email for a workshop and/or get invited from a friend or co-worker to attend with them. However, a few months ago, I randomly came across a page on Instagram-  Worthy Women, LLC. I saw their website and the workshops they offer and I was hooked. I listened to my intuition and followed up with #WorthyWomen.  Just check out who they are (http://www.worthywomen.co)

“Worthy Women started with a vision and a belief that everything we do stems from a place of whether we “feel worthy” or are hustling to make others believe that we are.
Too often we play it small or safe, we talk ourselves down from our dreams and second guess our abilities. It’s easy to forget that the possibilities we envision for ourselves stem from what we think we deserve. To build relationships, businesses, and find our creativity we must first accept and believe we are worthy of them, because we inherently are worthy.

We created our free monthly event series as a safe space for tech and creative entrepreneurial women to learn best practices needed for success. But also to create a safe space and supportive community of amazing women who dare to play by their own rules, forge their own path, and live their true self worth.

So ask yourself…

When did you realize you were worthy? When did you decide you were worth more than ‘that’?”

The topics of their workshops were like no other I have ever seen, such as ‘How to Turn Your Side Hustle Into Your Main Hustle,’ or ‘Tribe: How to Find Your People and Build a Movement’.  So, I decided to attend some of their monthly workshops in downtown Los Angeles. And I fell in love with their approach and concept. All of the women I came across had positive energy and offered support and advice to my idea of Mi Reina Mobile Boutique. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Worthy Women Conference 2016 and Brunch+Learn with Amber Rose.

What an opportunity! I am still feeling inspired from the gems (aka knowledge) dropped! I took so many notes and quoted several of the panel speakers. Here are some ‘gems’ I will share with you to help you feel like the #worthywoman that you are!

-“Don’t clap back at the negativity unless it’s beneficial to you!”- Amber Rose

– “If someone doesn’t want to work with you for who you are, you shouldn’t work with them.” – Amber Rose

-“Put the cart before the horse in business. That makes it real and you have to live up to it!” -CoolHaus

-“Your heart tells you what you’re going to do tomorrow, it’s not always about money” – Patty Rodriguez
